Collin is almost 3 months old and I am panicked at where the time has gone. He has been such a patient little baby through all the craziness of the last few months. He gives his smiles and coos & "talks" so freely to anyone willing to hold him...It's one of those double-chinned grins that you can't help but respond to. I even catch him smiling up at himself in the mirror on his swing. I love to just hold him and kiss his soft little cheeks and smile at his big smiles. 
Squeaks is insatiable- check out those thigh rolls! Breastfeeding is going really well for us, sleeping...not so much.
I got a little discouraged when reading through Asher's baby book the other day-when he was Collin's age he was practically sleeping through the night. Collin had worked his way up to 6 hour stretches and then this last week decided that he wanted to see more of his parents at night. He was waking up every 10 minutes because his pacifier fell out- no lie. It's amazing how much I've gotten used to feeling like a zombie. My goals of exercising and conquering my mile-long to-do list have been abandoned. Now that things have settled down, he has his own bedtime routine (just like Asher). Eat, bath, pj's, prayers, one last nursing, then bed. I'm happy to report that last night was better. Hallelujah. Eventually we'll probably have to do some sleep training with this kiddo. That's just a nicer way of saying he'll be crying himself to sleep. I hate doing it...it goes against every maternal instinct to just let your baby cry. But I know that it only takes a few nights before he is a sleeping-champ. Ok enough complaining. it's just that I'm sooo tired. :)
The older he gets, the more Collinsworth looks like his big brother for whom there exists a mutual adoration. We are absolutely in love with our youngest boy- already he is such a special part of our little family. I miss him so much right now that I am seriously considering waking him up- just to hold him. Shame on me.
ps- he still has toots that would give a grown man a run for his money. haha!

Holy cow, I CANT beleive he's already 3 months!!!! It's crazy. He is so cute and looks so much more like Asher now that he's getting bigger. I'm glad they love eachother and that you're getting a routine down with him too. I'm sure it will help a ton...that and letting him cry it out a bit - wear ear plugs and make Nate listen for emergencies :)
I love Collin's smiles and when he talks to me..I can't believe how big he is getting..he is growing up too quickly! I love spending my time with you guys and my cutie nephews!

such a cutie pie! Don't worry about the crying it out thing, yes it's hard, but with those who don't like to stay asleep, I found it must be done! Trust me, you'll thank yourself once you get through it.
