Oh Christmas Tree! (Advent: 1 & 2)

On Sunday, we decided to watch the Nativity video & talk about how Christmas is a celebration of the birth of our Savior.

On Monday, for Family Home Evening, we went and picked out our Christmas Tree.

My camera was out to get me. I kid you not- I attempted to take more pictures, particularly of Eden, and every time my camera battery would die. I was pretty bummed about it. They were such good pictures too... I might repeat the photo op if Nate is willing. :)

Fortunately, each of my kids seemed to inherit the love for Mannheim Steamroller's Christmas album! That music is so nostalgic for me, that I finally paid the $7 on iTunes to officially own the album. We rocked out & got lights hung up outside & the tree decorated. Collin was really the only one who got into decorating & bless his heart, each ornament he put on the tree was pretty much in the exact same spot. Haha! I re-arrange things after the kids were in bed.

Collin has no bum...poor kid can't keep his pants up!

Eden & Her Papa

This girl is not lacking in the booty department! (She gets it from her mama!) And these little jeggings only emphasize it...

Silly Sissy

Oh this girl! She is so cute & a funny little thing! (Even with a double ear infection.) I know I am about to post dozens of pictures that all look the same, but each one has me cracking up!

Throwback Thursday

To October...some little tid bits I missed last month!

Traditional Dinner-in-a-Pumpkin & a new "bloody" drink idea...

BYU Chemistry Department's Magic Show & late-night campus tour...

Cookie decorating!

Family Home Evening Popcorn Olympics...

This picture has a great story. I put all 3 boys on a chair & put a cup on the floor in front of each of them. I told them that whoever filled up their cup with popcorn first would win. Seth just sat there, eating. :) Asher began doing it the traditional way (dropping a piece of popcorn into the cup, one at a time). Collin, the little stinker/smarty pants, immediately dumped his entire bag upside down. His cup filled right up! I declared him the winner!...

Asher sobbed. The only way I could make him feel better was to tell him that Collin did it the "crazy way". I loved that Collin thought outside-the-box (despite the popcorn mess all over the floor).

Cheaters! (Moving the popcorn with their hands.)

Daddy wins!
