easter

This post is a bit late, but here it is anyhow. We were able to spread the Easter festivites out over a few days- celebrating in both Colorado and here. And yes, that's Collin stealing candy from other people's baskets...even when his own was right in front of him!

We did a HUGE easter egg hunt for everyone that was visiting at our place, with money in some of the eggs for the adults. You can see that Asher could've cared less about the money. :) Collin got the hang of hunting for eggs really quickly whereas Asher was often distracted by exploring dirt piles, cars, etc.

spring trying to spring

One day it's snowing and the highs are in the 40's. The next it's a sun-shiney 70. What the heck?? I am most certainly ready for warmer weather! I had a goal this spring the take the boys into a blossoming orchard for a mini photo shoot, but this crazy weather interfered with that. I suppose there is always next year...and that might actually be better since baby boy #3 will also get to participate. I might even be able to convince Nate to let me hire a professional & get some family shots too! Anyway, enough rambling...these were taken in my parents backyard a couple of weeks ago:

colorado

While Nate was on his annual Lake Powell fishing trip...

the boys & I packed up and drove to Colorado to spend time with Gramma, Grampa, Tara & the pets.

Despite some bummer weather, we kept really busy- Denver Zoo, indoor kiddie waterpark (twice), Farmer's Market, Movies (we saw Hop- for days afterwards Asher was a bunny and consumed carrots like crazy), park playground & Easter festivities.

I got pampered too! My parents were gracious enough to get up with the boys- often before 6am & let me sleep-in. Dad took me out on a daddy-daughter date to a great restaurant complete with a stereotypical flamboyant french waitor. In fact, a lot of our attention was focused on trying to (discretely) take his picture.

These boys are lucky to be so completely adored by their grandparents. Thanks mom & dad!
