Soccer Mom

It's official! Asher made me a soccer mom! Nate is coaching his "Good Guy Gators" soccer team. Asher LOVES his uniform. I have to bribe him into taking off his shin gaurds & cleats. As for the actual game itself, well, let's just say he would rather be cuddling baby chicks on the sidelines OR playing on the nearby playground OR inspecting the intracacies of the goal net OR just running alongside his team for the fun of it. I think it's kinda cute. This boy of mine is a thinker/dreamer
.

Collin on the other hand seems to posses a lethal combination of mad footwork skills & slight agression on the field when he practices with his Dad. He also demonstrates a flair for the dramatic. A definite must in soccer. Those men flop themselves onto the field like a bunch of pansies. Anything for a foul! Too bad little Buggie is only 2.

THAT SAID, I am NOT going to take their current aptitude for soccer & make any predictions for the future. But I will say that the current plan is to let Asher try T-ball and swimming next. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that my boys will be little fishies like I was. :)

I love that you see who Asher is as a dreamer/thinker and don't ask him to be something he's not. Something else will catch his attention and until he finds what lights him up he'll experince all kinds of different things. Perfect.

Just found you... darling blog and family!

I've had my little dude in swim for a year now and he has LOVED it... this summer though I plan to do soccer or t-ball ;) I can't wait!

But I agree with Morgan in saying that it's great you're not pressuring A into doing something he's not loving. I plan to take the same approach with my son :)

Eager to get to know you better! I love making new friends... hope that's not too awkward... lol :)

p.s. Cortney! I LOVE your photography and am looking for someone to take some pictures this fall! When I got divorced, I lost my sister-in-laws and their talent in that field... but your work is terrific and I'd love to utilize you!

I'm adding myself as a follower to you photography blog! I'm downtown SLC :) You are SO talented! Great work!

YAY!
