This past weekend we celebrated Nate's 29th Birthday! I let him pick the menu for the day which consisted of a HUGE breakfast: eggs, pancakes & ham hashbrowns. Lunch was pretty low-key, but Dinner was delicious with roasted potatoes, steamed broccoli, fresh strawberries & bbq ribs- using our own homemade marinade. When I asked Nate what he wanted for dessert he just said "cheesecake." Fortunately for us we have a Cheesecake Factory about 10 minutes from our house...so I got off the hook pretty easy with that meal. (If you recall, Nate has a history of asking for very elaborate birthday cakes.)
Really this was his 2nd birthday party- we had one with the Cleggs on the 12th. Miriam was so sweet to have made Nate his request of a double-layer brownie, nutella, strawberry cake. Anyway, here are some cute pics we took from that weekend...
