A silly, cuddly, mess-making good boy. He still loves water. And looking at himself in the mirror. Combine the two = 1 solid hour of entertainment.
I also wanted to tell you about how Asher put himself to bed last night. Think about that... not even 2 and he put himself to bed. Wow.
Nate and I tucked our Squirrelsy into bed around 8:30pm. Then we settled onto the couch to catch up on our DVR'd Thursday night shows- The Office, Community, 30 Rock, Bones, etc. Our downstairs family room is right outside Asher's room. Pretty convenient actually if he is having a hard time getting to sleep/ getting out of bed.
Anyway, last night we heard him get out of bed. We could hear him pulling books off of his bookshelves. He was reading with the help of his nightlight. The scriptures are his favorite. Nate said to me, "Let's just wait until he comes out of his room before we put him back to bed." Ok. Sounds good. I'm not sure how much time passed. 45 minutes? Maybe longer? Suddenly it occured to us that we hadn't heard Asher in a while. That's wierd. Should we go check on him? Yes, definitely. Nate went to check and this is what he found:
Our little guy had climbed back into his big-boy bed. He didn't quite make it to his pillow. He had tried to pull the covers up, but only his legs were covered. He had tucked himself in back to sleep with his scriptures laying right next to him.
My heart melted when Nate told me! My little baby! Such a good boy...
