We also started sleep training with him, which is just a fancy name for letting him "cry it out". It had gotten to the point where Asher had no idea how to fall asleep by himself. Nate and I would have to bounce with him for 15-30, holding him in just the right position and if he woke up when we laid him down, we would have to start the routine all over! It was exhausting. When I got back from Colorado this last time the sleep training began. He cried for about 30 minutes that first time. He now only fusses for about 5 minutes (usually) before falling asleep, with Nate or I having to occassionally go back in to give him back his paci.
There have been a few instanaces when I have laid Asher down for a nap, only to go back in because I could hear squirrelin' around for his pacifier- this was the sight that greeted me:
And then, he would see me and:
Asher is a GREAT sleeper- last night he slept for 11 hours sraight and could probably have gone on a bit longer if Nate and I weren't worried that he would get too hungry. He is also takes a lot of naps- he can't really stand to be awake for more than an hour or so at a time. Here are some cute pictures of our very cuddly, chubby boy...
He likes to snuggle up with Nate's blanket too. (I think he likes all the little red things on it)
Chewing on a toothbrush:
Ready to go for church (he actually got the bag around his arm like that!):
