About a week ago we were driving in the car..
Asher: "Mom. Mom! Mom!!??"
Mom: "Yeah bud. what's up?"
Asher: "Look! My tooth!" (sense of panic in his voice)
He had his first loose tooth! I was excited & explained to him that this was normal & awesome! Then it was Nate's turn to panic..."Cort, there's no way he's old enough to be losing teeth. Cort, google that...I'm pretty sure he's too young. Cort!"
Turns out losing teeth at 5 is no biggie.
On Saturday Asher approached me again, concerned, & showed me that his tooth was missing. Cool! Except that when I asked him where his tooth was he didn't know. "Weren't you eating an apple?" Yes, he had been. "Do you think maybe you swallowed it?" He started to worry. Luckily, we checked the couch where he had been sitting & found his little tooth. :)
Anyway, the tooth fairy visited that night & delivered $1. I'm happy she didn't set the bar too high with the money. Uncle D had told Asher not to accept anything less than $20. The next morning, when I asked Asher what he had received from the tooth fairy he said, "$1. Uncle D was just teasing." :)
I'm now 39 weeks, 3 days. I've been dilated 3cm & 80% effaced for a couple of weeks now. Contracting all the time. Physically miserable & a bit exhausted (mentally) waiting for our little girl to show up. Then again, I'm not the most patient person. Huuurrrryyy Eden!!!

Little Eden, she's going to take her sweet time. Sassy little thing already, she'll need that with 3 big brothers anyways! :) So fun Asher lost his tooth, we've been having similar conversation (although I'm Nate in our house worried it's too early). Katherine says she has 4 lose teeth...hope not, she won't be able to eat - ha!
(Sorry mispelled a bunch of words in previous post - oops!)
He is such an adorable & beautiful boy! And he makes losing a tooth look like total fun!!
