mother's day

Nate made sure to have the boys dictate letters to him for me. Here's what they had to say...

Collin: (pictured eating his first OREO ever)

"Dear Mom-

Bah bah!! (In his scary growl voice) Thanks for always listening to me, even when I'm being all scary! You're the best and I love you so much, I never want you to put me down. Now, um (I picked up the um thing from Asher) do you have anything I can eat?

"Dear Mom-

Um, cars. I just wanted to make sure you knew that I like cars and choo-choos and buses and trucks and pretty much anything else with wheels. I also thought of cars because, like our cars, you are what keeps us going. Without you, we'd be stuck going nowhere.

"We love you so much sweetie, you're the best mom ever. We have the luckiest children and future children (that's right, I'm pregnant!). Happy Mother's Day!

This morning I got to sleep til after 10. The boys made me cinnamon streussel waffles with fresh berries. They wrote me sweet notes and got me the most beautiful necklace (picture of it to come soon!), they made me an awesome lunch (grilled ribs, mashed potatoes, salad, jones' sodas, and a strawberry creme torte) and just spoiled me in general. I cuddled my little boys. I felt an immense amount of gratitude to be raising them with a man who I love so deeply. It was a beautiful day. I feel so thankful to be the mother of such wonderful children.
