A few weeks ago my mom flew in from Denver to visit our little family (but mostly Asher). :) We had such a great time! Mom & Asher had fun together building forts, going for long walks in the wagon, playing at the park, & just hangin' out at home. We made some wonderful meals, had our fair share of In N' Out Burger, did some shopping, and worked on projects around the house- re-organizing the kitchen cupboards, sewing, etc. And, of course, she spoiled us rotten- I got a Bissell Green Machine and a beautiful Easter wreath. Yay! (She did ALL this despite a really bad asthma flair-up that landed her in the ER & Urgent Care.)
My dad flew in for a long weekend to buddy up with "Dat Guy" and help with some other things around the house. I now have some awesome new shelving in the laundry room- perfect for food storage! Thanks Dad!
In the two weeks they were here, Nate and I got to go out on 3 dates while my parents babysat Asher...we didn't realize how much we had missed those. I'm always sad when my parents leave, and it just makes me hope that someday we can live closer. I think Asher missed them the most- he literally moped around the house for 2 days after they left. Am I really that boring?! :) haha! We love you Gramma & Grampa Bartlett and can't wait to see you soon!

Thank you so much for the little outfits for Sawyer, they are so cute! I can't believe your mom even thought about sending something with being so sick! I feel so bad for her. Sucks when they leave huh. I hate not having family close by, you don't realize how hard having kids is by yoursef until they come for a while. My mom often reminds me that the reason I'm more stressed is because I don't ever get a break. Most people can drop them off with grandparents for a little while, but we have no one. Guess I'm just venting cause two is much harder. Sorry, I love it, but it really is harder. Just tell your mom that she'll have to move in when you have this next little guy!
I love the picture of Asher in the cupboard!! lol Too cute!! Grandparents are the best!! And I totally agree that it would be so fun to have them closer!! :)
