I went with Nate on a business trip to NYC- my first official time in the Big Apple. I loved the Met, hated the Museum of Natural History, caught a broadway show, visited the Manhattan Temple, spent hours at Ellis Island (my favorite activity) and had some truly superb food. It took 3 tries before I was able to successfully navigate the subways. On our last full day, Nate and I went with Chad & Kim on a bus tour of the whole city. 5 days was not exactly long enough to do all I wanted, but we jam-packed as much in as possible and had a blast doing it.
I could see the sun in the evening- its colors turning from bright to rich golden hue. That signaled the start of school. Asher started in 1st grade and Collin started his last year of preschool. Asher dubbed 1st grade as being "fun, but really long". Collin got to carpool with his friend Violet, so he was happy.
And can I say how much I am loving that Asher and Collin share shirts now? :)
