Arizona- Memorial Day

We had planned to go to Colorado for Memorial Day, but my parents needed help in Arizona finding a home. We were happy to go since we hadn't been back to Arizona since moving to Utah. We stayed the night in Kanab and stopped off in Anthem to visit our old stomping grounds.

We met up with my parents in Scottsdale Saturday morning. The hotel was seriously awesome...tons of space, comfortable, fun. (Lately I have loved leaving reviews on Trip Advisor.)

Great restaurants nearby...

We visited the almost-finished Phoenix, Arizona temple. It's gorgeous & huge!

The hotel hosted a Memorial Day BBQ that was pretty awesome. Asher discovered misters & became obsessed since they reminded him of the hydrogen "mist" in a space shuttle launch. Seth and Eden loved dancing with Papa, Grandma & Tessa to the live band.

I've been feeling guilty that I haven't taken the kids to the pool more often this summer...it's really hard with 4 at the people with just one me! The sooner I feel confident in Asher & Collin's swimming, the better. AZ was great. 5 adults to 4 kids. That meant lots of fun pool time!

Our drive back was rough. We didn't have Aunt Tessa with us, since she had to fly home sooner. But the real problem was that Eden was running an insane fever & throwing up. She was so miserable. At one point, we even gave up after she barfed all over in the car. The extra day in AZ helped & she was somewhat better for our 2nd attempt at a drive home.

We had so much fun with all of you there! Poor little Eden being sick made for a long trip home for everyone. I love your pictures!
Love,

Pool time is super stressful alone, don't blame you at all. Ride home sounds miserable, so glad you made it safe!
