Sethie turns 2

I've been feeling so guilty that I haven't posted a single thing about my littlest boy turning TWO. (Nate reminded me that instead of feeling guilty, I should put my energy into something more productive.)

We had waffles for breakfast and pizza and crazy bread (his request) for dinner. He got a Jake & the Neverland Pirates ship and a Thomas the Train tent, along with some fun money from Gramma & Grampa Bartlett & Oma & Opa Bartlett.

Usually I don't start doing birthday interviews until 3, but Seth is just so verbal & clever that I decided to ask him a few questions on his special day. He started every answer with "Um..."

Favorite Color? Brown. Purple. A yellow birtday.
Favorite Toy? Poopie Uncle D.
(When this answer solicited a chuckle and shocked response from me, many of his initial answers involved potty humor.)
Favorite show? Mickey Mouse. Elmo. Super Why.
Favorite song? Glasses song. (He breaks off into giggles.) Systems Go! (Radioactive by Imagine Dragons) He also loves "Temple song".
Favorite drink? Mommy's glasses! (He loves to be silly!) Water. (Really he prefers almond milk.)
Best friend? Daddy.
Favorite thing to do outside? Please!! (Begging to go outside instead of being interrogated by mom.)
Favorite thing to take to bed? No thanks. No bed. A birtday party. Sethie's birtday party!
What do you want to be when you grow up? A dad.

Some things I don't want to forget about Seth:

Sethie has been described by his Papa as a "one-man wrecking ball". It's true. ::sigh::
He was described by his Grandpa Clegg as "one of the most clever little boys he has ever known." Also true!
He loves transferring liquids & snacks from one container to another.
He loves to help take the garbage out.
He and Din do everything together.
He was the worst sleeper, prior to Nate and I building him a "tent" contraption. Which he learned to escape in just 1 week.
He has the cutest little run. Seriously, it's the cutest.
He loves to tease & be silly/funny. Lately he has a knack for changing the words of songs to make them funny. "Rock-a-bye Space shuttle!" or "La la la Elmo's world...Elmo loves poopie!"
He answers "Yups!" for yes.
He always wakes up from naps grumpy.
He loves giving hugs. When he hugs Eden, he does it with such energy that he tenses his face & even shakes. He will tackle Asher & Collin to the ground and lay on them, hugging. They all love it.
Seth is a mini-parent. He will almost always yell/repeat whatever it is I just yelled at his older brothers. He has attempted to put his brothers in time out.
He is the boy who cried wolf. "Collin hurt." He picks physical fights sometimes.
If he has been quiet for too long, or I can't find him. I immediately run upstairs to my bathroom- holding my breath to see what mess he has created. Last week he chewed up deoderant & spit it all over the bathtub. Dumped out conditioner in an effort to do "a haircut" like Dad's. Was caught sucking on a tube of toothpaste will "hiding" under Mom & Dad's sheets. That was just last week.
He has an infectious smile- it lights up a room.
He is a techno-junkie. I have to pry my phone out of his hands.
He imitates his big brothers constantly.

Our home is a better, happier (& a bit messier) place because of Seth. We love him like crazy!!
