2nd Annual Bartlett Campout

We headed to Mt. Nebo again this year. Even though I had been there before (last year) I still got a little anxious driving in...when you first start in, it looks like Arizona desert...gnarly bushes & no trees. But as you work your way in, everything becomes progressively greener.

We were a little bummed that our site from last year was taken. (In fact, we got the last site available- the majority were "occupied" by parked, vacant campers.) We loved our spot though...right next to a little babbling brook! That meant lots of fun exploring for the boys.

Eden, our Happy Camper. That was until night time rolled around. Pretty sure Nate and I got a combined 2-3 hours of sleep. Little stinker. In fact, she was the same age as Asher when we first tried family camping. And if you recall, on that trip we packed up at 2am and drove home. haha!
Anyway, the only way I could get Eden to keep quiet was to sit up & nurse her all through the night. I kept praying that she would just fall asleep. When I could see that that prayer wasn't working, I began praying that morning would come quickly. Anytime Eden would wake-up crying, so did Seth. It was a viscous cycle. In those early morning hours, I discovered that Sethie is a sleep-talker, just like his mama. He would randomly shout, "Camping!" and then go back to sleep...it was actually pretty funny.

Mom & Tessa, "earthing". Or rinsing dirty, sandled feet. I can't remember. :)

We had fun lining up plastic cups to shoot at with the BB gun. Out of everyone, it was my MOM who was most accurate. She has rightly earned the nickname "Dead-eye Deb"!

Asher and Collin wanted to go hiking. Sweet Nate thought he had found a trail that would be nice & give us some gorgeous vistas. It ended up being a very steep climb along a 3' path. Loose dirt & rocks & drop-off's on the side. I fully admit, I was a total whiner. I was carrying Eden in the Bjorn, worried about my little ones falling to their death & runnin' on about 2 hours of sleep. I made us all stop & turn around. Sorry guys...

We took the scenic route home & got our scenic views. Collin wouldn't look at the camera. Silly bug.

Tara & Toki! Love those two.

My dad took these, which is great because then I get to be in some. :)

Oh, and "Din" came camping too. Sethie loved showing him the "pretty mountains".
