What do you want to be when you grow up?: A DAD. Nate obviously does a great job of making the role of Daddy seem like the best thing ever.

Collin is so funny! Last night Nate was gone at a church meeting. It was bedtime & I was nursing Eden before putting her to bed. I knew Collin was in the bathroom, waiting for me to help him wipe. Eden took forever eating & after laying her down I headed towards the bathroom. I started to say, "Hey buddy, sorry that took so long, Eden..." I stopped short. There was Collin, sitting on the throne, elbows on his knees & hands clasped together. His head was bowed & his eyes were squeezed shut. I thought he was frustrated at how long he had been made to sit there. Collin saw me and said, in a dramatic whisper, "Mom. I am saying prayers. I-a-talk to Heavenly Father." haha! I guess we have taught them that they can pray anywhere....

After returning from a week at his Grandparent's house, Collin came walking through the front door & said, "Wow Mom! I love you new stairs!". When I pointed out that the stairs weren't new, he did a courtesy laugh and said, "Oh ok, well I love you new house!"

On our way to Thanksgiving Point Farm Country, I was buckling Collin into the car...
Collin: (very seriously) Mom, I'm afraid for you.
Mom: Why??
Collin: Because I'm gonna chop up a pig. (And then he started smacking his lips.)

Happy 4th Birthday to our funny, sweet Collin!!
