Yesterday, Asher tried rice cereal for this first time. At first he was a little unsure of things, but within a few minutes he was opening his mouth whenever the spoon would come near. He really likes the stuff even though I thought it tasted pretty dang nasty. Towards the end of his feeding, he was actually grabbing the spoon from me and shoving in his own mouth!

I now wish I would have made more efforts with breastfeeding. Asher still gets about half of his feedings by nursing, and formula the rest of the time. Whenever I start to feel guilty about that, Nate always reminds me that we will have other babies and therefore other opportunities for exclusive breastfeeding. In the meantime, Asher has begun solids and I will make every effort to ensure that he gets lots of yummy organic food! :)
